Hubei Electric Power Construction Second Engineering Company (simplified as HEPSEC for short thereinafter) established in April 1959, which is an electric power construction enterprise with the first-rate qualification of general contract certificated by national Ministry of Construction. For last 50 years, the developments of HEPSEC have spread to more than ten cities and provinces. Our company specializes in the construction, installation and units commissioning of foreign and domestic large-scale thermal power plant and also involved in the construction and installation of hydraulic power, power generation of gas turbine, nuclear power generation, power transmission and substation/cable lines and desulphurization environmental protection, as well as operational maintenance of power plant and units overhaul. In recent years, it has gradually exploited the overseas power markets which are Laos, Bangladesh and Indonesia projects.

The company has the national registered capital of 71 million Yuan RMB, total assets of 0.246 billion Yuan RMB and 1860 employees, including 56 certificated public first-level architects/first-level project managers by National Ministry of Construction, 351 person with the intermediate and senior professional titles. In addition it also has over 700 sets of various kinds of mechanical equipments for large-scale construction hoisting, such as 600T, 400T, 250T, 150T (caterpillar crane), FZQ 1380 (auxiliary hoist), DBQ3000 (tower hoist), etc; the gross outputs construction power of equipments amounts to 43500 KW.

We successively have undertaken many construction projects which respectively are 15 sets of large-scale thermal power units of 600 MW and 300 MW, 2 sets of 170MW hydraulic electricity-power units,11 gas steam combined cycle power plants, 6 sets desulphurization and de-nitration environmental protection projects of 600MW and 300MW thermal power units, 17 500KV-110KV voltage class transformer substation, 270 km transmit electricity line with 220KV-110KV voltage class, 280km OPGW multiple fiber cable project as well as 16 km urban crossing and tunnel cable line with 220KV and 110KV.

The company has been certificated the qualification of act foreign business projects by national ministry of construction. It also has national 1st -level license of the installation, rebuild, repair and maintenance of special equipment (boiler), installation license of Penstock Manifold,1st- level metal experimentation lab qualification, 2nd-level commissioning qualification of thermal power engineering and 1st-level welding training and examination center; HOPSEC has accomplished quality management system of ISO9000 in 1997, authentication of OHSMS18001 occupational health and safety management system and qualification of ISO14001 environmental management system in 2002. Moreover the company has been awarded AAA-Class credit certificate by Chinese architectural industry and AAA-Class credit certificate by agricultural bank of China.

In which, 3# and 4# units of first and second phase of Hubei Wuhan Yangluo Power Plant project is respectively approved to be “Basic Construction Handing-over for Production Up-to-standard Unit” by the National Power Corporation; Hubei Xiangfan Power Plant A bidding section (1# and 4#) unit project is awarded “Year 2000 Excellent Project Award of the National Power Corporation”; installation project of power house and major equipment is achieved “2001 Golden Award of National High Quality Project”, 500kV Jingmen Shuanghe transformer substation is awarded high quality project of Water Conservancy & Electric Power Ministry and silver award of State Economic and Trade Committee; many projects which are undertaken by us are acquired “National Excellent Welding Engineering”, and the title of “National Excellent TQC Team” for several times; the company has also been obtained various kinds of state, provincial and municipal honorary titles which respectively are “National May Day Medal”, “National Model Home of Employee”, “National Youth Civilization Team”, “National Enterprise Abiding by the Contract and Keeping Faith” and “Advanced Corporation of Power Construction and Safe Production Activity Year sponsored by National Grid Corp” as well.
